The Art of Expression in Custom-Designed INVITATION

What does it mean by custom designs exactly? Well, to begin with, there isn't a catologue of ready-made cards - only a blank canvass in which the designer will create a design from scratch with your needs in mind just the same way a fashion designer creates a gown with the perfect fit for you.

It may seem overwhelming at first with so many details to think about, so many colours, textures, motifs, shapes, sizes and fonts to consider but it is really just defining your basic style and knowing what you like and having the designer put all those things together for you.

Draw inspiration from the colours of your wedding - the colours of the bridesmaid dresses, your flowers, the decorations, the overall theme - whether it is a traditional or contemporary and the mood - if it is going to be fun and lively, cosy and quiet or grand and dramatic. This info will give your designer clues to create the desired style for your stationery.

A little research on your part would help too and bring along as many things as possible when meeting your designer - from fabric swatches to pictures that you like. Remember, a customised design is unique and personal so be open with your designer and communicate your likes and dislikes. Viewing the designer's portfolio will give you an idea of his / her style and if you pretty much like 90% of it, there is a high probability you will like what he / she creates for you.

The designer will show you the different prints, finishes and papers available for your invites and recommend what should work for you to create the desired outcome. You should voice your opinions and ideas as much as possible but also be able to trust and listen to your designer as he / she would have a better grasp of things based on experience on technicalities and aesthetics.

Custom designs are probably the way to go if you:

- know what you want and like (even if you roughly know what you want but are unable to envision it on paper, that's fine)

- clear on the style and theme of your wedding / event

- have a very distinct theme and cannot find anything off the shelves to suit the theme

- have the budget to spend on having something that you really like

"Covershots" with your pet

Create a perfect portrait with your pet companion!

We appreciate how important it is not only to capture the outer physical characteristics of your pet, but also the spirit within. Our joy is in attempting to bring out the unique personality and expressive characteristics of each animal photographed: the lopsided grin, the rolling eye, the crooked ear. The tiny touches which capture the animal family members in their most relaxed, happy & "totally themselves" state; having the time of their lives.

A tip or two:
Best lighting is achieved outside in natural light. Having your pet close to a large window, with plenty of natural light coming from behind or slightly to the side of you as you face your pet, is the next best option.
Camera flash is not advisable as most pets would be startled by it.
A bright but overcast day is perfect.

Keep your pet as comfortable and at ease as possible. Cameras can be distracting for some animals, so if you cannot get your pet to behave normally, try having someone else present to divert their attention and keep them engaged.
A good idea is to have favourite treats or toys at hand. Hold them up near the camera to catch (and hopefully hold) interest in the right direction. Most importantly, don't be afraid to be silly. Try making funny and unusual noises or movements to get their attention.
